I attended my first Entrepreneurs circle meeting with the Cornwall branch of Nigel Botterill’s Entrepreneurs Circle this month. The meeting was run by fellow work at home mum Michelle Holmes ‘The Stay at Home & Save The World Strategist for Work at Home Mothers’. She has such a positive vibe and really engages with everyone attending which is great. Well, what can I say about the meeting? It was pure business development in action and the final push I needed to become who I am today strip away any confidence issues and share my passion to assist other work at home mums. The Entrepreneurs Circle is a local, national and online network of the most forward thinking business owners in the UK. Whilst there is an opportunity to network the primary function of the meetings are to give you the tools to put into action on your business and get results.
There is nothing in the world that has a more profound effect on your business and indeed your life than masterminding strategies with like minded entrepreneurs. This is what you should focus on each and every time you are in contact with other entrepreneurs. Even if they are your ideal client then you should still be focusing on displaying value as opposed to straight up selling:
- It aids you in developing your business on a larger scale
- You show genuine care and knowledge which means they will come to you
- Increased perceived value = £££
This all ties in very well with the sessions theme ‘Make Yourself Interesting’
Blending into a crowd is easy.
Doing things the way they’ve always been done is easy.
Keeping your opinion to yourself is easy.
Staying in your comfort zone is easy. The issue is you DON’T want to stay in your comfort zone. You want to take yourself right out into your stretch zone as it is the only place you will grow. Do you want to do things differently and stand out from the crowd? Oh YES! You want to be remembered that’s how you get repeat custom and referrals. You want to be the shepherd not the sheep lead the way and dictate how your world is run.
Finally you want people to be unhappy. I’ve failed if there isn’t someone who is passionately against what I have said. The reason is there won’t be anyone who is passionately for what I have said. You see where I am coming from? Your stories, your views, your personality is everything. Let it shine through whatever you do and do it for you.
There is a whole heap more to it than that but what can I say? You need to join up and become an Entrepreneurs Circle member. You get regular ‘circulars’, local meetings and national events.
