The biggest challenge for entrepreneurs
Challenging and marketing your OWN services and products is a massive learning curve. The emotional standpoint of marketing your own products and skills with confidence is a completely new reality. Female entrepreneurs in particular tend to struggle more with this as it’s a whole lot more personal. It’s not a case of do they like it, we think do they like me.Don’t let this eat away at your confidence, don’t worry about being liked or perfect. If you are like me then good is never good enough, but to deprive your potential customers of a product or service that will have a positive impact on their lives is doing them a dis-service. Remember we will always set the bar high because we always want to be the best we can be. The key thing to remember is that your product doesn’t have to surpass your expectations the way you think it needs to. Your client and the value they expect is key and you need to place the value they see over the value you see. People have their own values don’t tell them what their values are simply lead them to consider how you fit into their values and you can be heart centered, spiritual and giving whilst charging the amount you are worth. Here’s a couple of thoughts which might be holding you back:
I don’t know how to sell
I don’t know what to say
What if they don’t like me
What if I do it wrong
Am I worth it
Holding a space for a person to step into to be transformed. If you’re pushy you are stepping into their space, it crosses a line and directs people into saying no.
When someone feels their power they have the confidence to take action. You need to create that safe haven where your clients
How do youcreate this
1. Believe they are capable of the transformation.
2. Communicate your belief to them
3. Show them the alternative
4. Allow them to rest in your belief until they believe it themselves
What doesn’t work when selling to women
1. Being inauthentic.
2. Holding back on the transformation provided - that is what drives your business people are buying a transformation.
3 Not charging a price you are comfortable with.
4. Charge to little – you are dis-empowering your client by devaluing your product or service
5. You cannot overcome an objection you agree with – if you would say no, why are you trying to convince someone else to say yes?
